Creative Ideas for using Wax Seals on Stationery

I’ve put together some wax seal making ideas and examples as so many of you have been purchasing my wax seal making kits. I thought you might find this useful.

Envelopes

Adding wax seals to envelopes can add so much character to your stationery. The person opening it will be over the moon too! Pour the hot wax directly onto the back of the envelope or use a circular sticker to stick a seal you’ve made already.

To add an extra rustic touch you can wrap kraft string around the envelope and pour the wax in the centre to secure it. It’ll look like a little gift!

Gift tags

Embellish your gift tags with ready made wax seals by sticking them to the corner or side of the tag. You can also use it to attach the tag directly onto the wrapping paper, instead of tying it.

Wedding Stationery
Needless to say that wax seals can transform the look of stationery! Add it to menu cards, envelopes, belly bands, vellum covers, place cards…the list goes on! You can help to enhance the wedding theme by personalising the wax colour, getting a custom made stamp with the couple’s initials etc.

Wrapping Paper

For smaller gifts try using your wax seals to seal the gift wrap. It adds a lovely handmade touch!

Place Cards
Wax seals look wonderful combined with calligraphy and cotton paper. For special dinners and events why not to try adding wax seals to cute little place cards. You can choose the style of the stamp to fit the event theme. Another special touch that will impress your guests!

Get creative by adding a few speckles of gold leaf in your wax, or use dried flowers or botanical details for extra embellishement.
